Visiting Nepalese King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev met here on Sunday with Jiang Yiren, deputy mayor of Shanghai.

Jiang gave a briefing to the king on foreign investment, industrial restructuring and infrastructure development of the city, one of China's economic powerhouses.

Gyanendra said that Nepal is willing to expand economic cooperation and trade with Shanghai.

The king flew to Shanghai Saturday evening from Yichang, a cityin central China's Hubei Province.
